Job summary

Aeropeople Ltd in Glasgow is seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join a global defence and aerospace leader. The role is on site, with a varied shift pattern and a day start, plus 33% shift allowance on nights and weekends.

You will fabricate and install pipework across copper, CuNi, carbon steel and stainless steel, read drawings, and collaborate with other trades while upholding safety and quality standards. Experience in TIG pipe, welding, and SHE/COSH compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Modern Apprenticeship certificate/Trade Papers required.
• Current knowledge and experience of pipe manufacture, installation, and use of associated equipment
• Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, tools, and safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Clear understanding of SHE, COSHH and Risk Assessments
• Proven experience as a Pipefitter within an industrial or commercial environment
• Experience in TIG Pipe and Welding

Responsibilities

• Fabricating and installing pipework systems across large and small-bore pipework using materials (copper, CuNi, carbon steel, stainless steel)
• Using hand tools and mechanical equipment to cut, bend and weld pipes and install pipework
• Installing utilities aboard ship (sinks, showers, toilets)
• Install and assemble fittings, valves, and related components per drawings/specifications
• Collaborate with other trades to ensure timely completion of projects
• Adhere to safety regulations and company procedures at all times
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out
• Shift allowance of 33% on night and weekend shifts
• Overtime pay rates as detailed in the Benefits section
