Job summary

Empower Talent in Bridge of Weir is seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter/Welder for a permanent role. The position blends workshop fabrication with installation across Ayrshire, with regular travel to customer sites. 39-hour week and enhanced overtime rates are typical.

You will fabricate, assemble and install industrial pipework, TIG weld stainless and carbon steel, and read drawings while maintaining high weld quality. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in pipe fitting and fabrication for industrial systems.
• Strong TIG welding experience preferred on stainless and carbon steel.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and isometrics.

Pipe Fitter / Welder
Bridge of Weir | Permanent | £18.00-£24.00 per hour + Overtime

We are recruiting an experienced Pipe Fitter/Welder to join a well-established engineering business based in Bridge of Weir.

This is a permanent opportunity offering a varied mix of workshop-based fabrication and installation work. The successful candidate will be primarily based in Bridge of Weir, with regular travel to customer and project sites across Ayrshire as required.

The Role

Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly and installation of industrial pipework systems.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Fabricating and installing stainless steel and carbon steel pipework
• TIG welding pipe assemblies and components
• Measuring, cutting, fitting and preparing pipework and materials
• Working accurately from engineering drawings and isometrics
• Workshop fabrication and assembly
• Installing and modifying pipework systems on customer sites
• Inspecting completed work and maintaining high standards of weld quality
• Working safely and effectively both independently and as part of a wider engineering team

The Candidate

We are looking for an experienced Pipe Fitter/Welder with a strong background in industrial pipework.

You should have:

• Previous pipe fitting and fabrication experience
• Strong TIG welding experience
• Experience working with stainless steel and carbon steel pipework
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Good fabrication, fitting and installation skills
• A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
• A full UK driving licence

Experience within process manufacturing, food & drink, distilling, chemical, pharmaceutical or other industrial environments would be advantageous.

Package

• £18.00-£24.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Permanent, full-time position
• 39-hour working week
• Monday-Thursday: 7am-4pm
• Friday: 7am-12pm
