Job summary

Kinetic Plc in West Manchester (Irlam/Carrington) is seeking a Pipefitter/Welder to join a small engineering team on a permanent basis. You will perform pipefitting, fabrication and welding on 2"–4" pipework to read drawings and support maintenance and improvement projects.

Time-served mechanical engineer or pipefitter with an apprenticeship is required. MIG and MMA welding skills are essential, and you should be a team player with flexible approach.

• Experience of pipefitting and fabrication.
• Competent MIG and Stick (MMA) welder.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
• Team player with flexible approach to supporting the wider engineering function.

Responsibilities

Pipefitter / Welder

West Manchester (Irlam/Carrington)

£35,000 Basic + Overtime (OTE £50,000+) + Annual Bonus

Our client, a well-established engineering business based in the West Manchester area, are looking to recruit a Pipefitter/Welder to join their close-knit engineering team on a permanent basis.

Working alongside another Pipefitter and within a team of six engineers, you'll carry out a mixture of pipefitting, fabrication and welding work, while also supporting the maintenance team with planned maintenance, breakdowns and site improvement projects.

This is a varied, hands-on role with plenty of overtime available, allowing most engineers to earn around £50,000 per year.

What's on Offer:

• £35,000 basic salary
• Typical earnings around £50,000 with overtime
• Annual company bonus (subject to company performance)
• Overtime paid at 1.5x Monday to Saturday and 2x on Sundays
• Additional payments for confined space work
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Regular overtime available before and after shifts (many engineers work approximately 7:00am - 5:00pm) and Saturday mornings
• Full training provided for FLT, Confined Space and Cherry Picker licences where required
