Job summary

Carbon60 in Birmingham is recruiting a Pipe Fitter - Process Pipework to support a range of projects across the West Midlands. You will work between a well-equipped workshop in Stirchley and various Birmingham sites, fabricating and installing stainless and mild steel pipework with no welding required.

Based in the West Midlands (within commutable distance of B30 1JR), you should have demonstrable experience in food, beverage or petrochemical environments, plus solid fitting skills.

Qualifications

• Suitably qualified and experienced pipe fitter with food, drink or petrochemical processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install schedule 10 to schedule 40 mild steel and stainless steel 1", 4" and 8" pipework.
• Site fitting of fabricated pipework, brackets and supports; assist other pipe fitters.
• No welding required for this role.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Pipe Fitter - Process Pipework to join the company's Birmingham office, supporting a variety of projects across the West Midlands.

Duties

As a suitably qualified and experienced pipe fitter, you will be working between a clean, ventilated and very well-equipped workshop in Stirchley and sites across Birmingham. Typical duties will include fabricating and installing schedule 10 to schedule 40 mild steel and stainless steel 1\", 4\" and 8\" pipework and some jacketed pipework. Other duties will include site fitting the fabricated pipework, brackets and associated pipe supports, along with assisting other pipe fitters as necessary. The is no welding with this job.

About you

Based ideally in the West Midlands, you will need to live within a commutable distance of B30 1JR.

Demonstrable experience of pipe-fitting stainless steel process pipework within a food, drink or petrochemical processing environment is preferred for this role.

You’ll also need good all-round fitting experience.
