Job summary

Pipe Fitter TIG Welder - Process Pipework in Birmingham is a 6-month contract, working in a well-equipped workshop in Stirchley and on-site across Birmingham. Typical duties include fabricating and butt-welding Schedule 20 and Schedule 40 pipework, piping supports and brackets, and assisting other pipe fitter welders.

Experience in food, beverage or petrochemical processing environments is essential, with current welding codings. Salary is £29.00–£32.00 per hour, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience of pipe-fitting and stainless steel TIG butt welding in a food, beverage or petrochemical processing environment is essential.
• Demonstrable all-round welding experience with current or previous codings.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and butt-weld Schedule 20 and Schedule 40 pipework (mild steel & stainless).
• Fabricate jacketed pipework spools and brackets.
• Site fitting of fabricated pipework and pipe supports; assist other pipe fitter welders.
