Carbon60 is seeking a skilled Pipefitter TIG Welder for a live process pipework installation in Barnsley. This 4-month contract involves on-site stainless steel schedule 10 piping and dairy process lines, with rigorous hygiene standards.

You’ll work 10 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 7:30 to 17:30, with occasional weekend work as the project progresses. Previous TIG welding on sanitary pipework and both stainless and carbon steel is essential.

Formación

• Proven TIG welding and fabrication experience on stainless and carbon steel process pipework.
• Experience in food, dairy, drink or petrochemical environments.
• Ability to work in a live production environment with hygiene consciousness.

Responsabilidades

• Install and butt-weld stainless-steel schedule 10 process pipework, including dairy lines.
• Fabricate and weld thin-wall stainless steel pipework to hygienic standards.
• Work on jacketed pipework where required.
• Weld carbon steel process pipework where required.
• Fabricate and weld brackets, supports and associated metalwork.
• Support fellow welders and the wider installation team.

Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S71 1HN

Duration: 4-month contract with the potential for further work

Hours: 10hours per day Monday-Friday, 7.30am-17.30pm with upcoming weekend working.

About the company

Our client is a process pipework engineering contractor, with more than 50 years' experience in process and industrial pipework. The company handles everything from single pipe spools to full process plant installations, including designing, fabricating and installing industrial pipework systems, vessels and steel work structures across a range of industrial sectors. Alongside this, it provides project management for major process plant installations, testing and commissioning of gas and oil piping, and fabrication of self-contained process plants. The company has worked in some of the most sensitive installations in the country, including Top-Tier COMAH sites.

You’ll join their process pipework team on a live installation at a food production facility in Barnsley, S71 1HN, installing hygienic stainless-steel schedule 10 and dairy process pipework.

The role

You’ll work on site as part of the process pipework installation team. Day to day, you’ll be:

• Installing and butt-welding stainless-steel schedule 10 process pipework, including dairy lines.
• Fabricating and welding thin wall stainless steel pipework to hygienic standards.
• Working on jacketed pipework where required.
• Welding carbon steel process pipework where required.
• Fabricating and welding brackets, supports and associated metalwork.
• Supporting fellow welders and the wider installation team.

About you

• Living within commuting distance of Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
• Proven TIG welding and fabrication experience on stainless and carbon steel process pipework in a food, dairy, drink or petrochemical environment (essential).
• Solid all-round welding skills, with current or previous coding a definite advantage.
• A hygiene-conscious approach to quality and comfortable working in a live production environment.
