Surrey Police is seeking a PIP2 Manager to lead Public Protection investigations, improving victim care and ensuring high investigative standards across RASSO, domestic abuse, and safeguarding matters.

The Public Protection Support Unit plays a vital role in improving investigative standards, supporting organisational learning and ensuring investigations are victim-centred, evidence-led and focused on achieving the best outcomes.
As a PIP2 Manager, you will provide leadership, quality assurance and investigative oversight across Public Protection investigations, including rape and serious sexual offences (RASSO), domestic abuse, stalking and safeguarding matters. Working closely with investigators and supervisors, you will identify good practice, drive performance improvement and support the continued embedding of the principles of Operation Soteria.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence investigative standards, shape organisational learning and support continuous improvement in some of Surrey Police's most complex and sensitive investigations.

The role involves travel across Surrey, where public transport may not always be suitable. Reviews of investigators' workloads must be conducted in person to support learning and development with investigators and supervisors. Therefore, you must have access to your own transport and appropriate business-use insurance. Where police vehicle use is required, you must hold a full driving licence and be able to obtain a Force Police Driving Permit.
Qualifications:
Educated to degree level, or able to demonstrate equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum PIP Level Two accredited (essential).
Applicants with experience of Public Protection investigations, including RASSO, domestic abuse, child abuse investigations or safeguarding are particularly encouraged to apply, although not essential.
Knowledge of Operation Soteria would be advantageous, successful candidates will be provided with appropriate training and professional development to support their understanding and application of Soteria principles within Public Protection investigations.

Everyone working in a police environment will be vetted to the requisite level in keeping with the National Vetting Codes of Practice. The level of vetting required for a person, for both force vetting and national security vetting (NSV) will be proportionate to the role the individual carries out. This role may involve travel to meetings and locations within and beyond the counties of Surrey and/or Sussex for which public transport may not be suitable. Therefore the post-holder must have access to transport and be insured for business use. Where the transport involves the driving of police vehicles, you must have a full driving licence and the ability to attain a Force Police Driving Permit.
