Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor (Nurse, Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist) for a permanent, full-time role in Redcar. The role focuses on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing, with hybrid working combining home and assessment centres.

You will conduct face-to-face and telephone assessments, analyse medical evidence, and produce detailed written reports within defined clinical frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting PIP functional assessments or similar clinical evaluations.
• Ability to analyse medical evidence and synthesize information.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments conducted professionally and empathetically.
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information to support assessments.
• Produce accurate, detailed, evidence-based written reports.
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks.
• Engage positively with feedback and ongoing professional development.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues to ensure smooth workflows.
• Attend assessment centres as required for competency.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and data accuracy.
