Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor/Disability Assessor in Hull. This non‑hands‑on clinical role uses clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing to understand how health conditions affect daily living, with hybrid working combining home and assessment centres.

You’ll be an NMC/HCPC registered professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist) with UK clinical experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist.
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed).
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information.
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence-based written reports.
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks.
• Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues.
• Attend the assessment centre as required.
