Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in Scarborough. This hybrid role combines home working with assessment centre time, offering stable hours and a balanced work‑life schedule for clinicians moving from frontline practice.

You will conduct PIP assessments, analyse medical evidence and write detailed reports within clinical frameworks, with structured progression and ongoing CPD support.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or HCPC registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year UK clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident use of digital systems with 35 WPM typing speed.
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).
• Desirable: Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles.
• Desirable: Ability to produce high-quality written clinical reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information.
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence-based written reports.
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks.
• Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues.
• Attend the assessment centre as required.
