Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in Gateshead. This role suits a clinically registered professional transitioning from frontline work into a non-clinical, assessment-focused position with emphasis on reasoning and report writing.

The role offers hybrid working with a mix of home-based assessment and centre visits, predictable hours, structured pay progression and comprehensive training support to develop ongoing clinical and report-writing skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or HCPC registered professional with no restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience.
• Able to produce high-quality written clinical reports.
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles.
• Confident with digital systems.

Responsibilities

• Face and telephone PIP assessments professionally.
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information.
• Produce accurate, evidence-based written reports.
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks.
• Engage with feedback and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues.
• Attend assessment centre as required.
