Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is recruiting for a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in Scarborough. This role combines home working with assessment centre days, focusing on clinical reasoning, analysis and high-quality report writing.

You will handle face-to-face and telephone assessments with qualified professionals. You will work under a structured framework, enjoy clear progression, and benefit from comprehensive training and ongoing clinical support.

Qualifications

• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)

Responsibilities

• Conduct face‑to‑face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence‑based written reports
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks
• Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues
• Attend the assessment centre as required
