Medacs Healthcare is hiring a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in York. This permanent full-time role suits NMC/HCPC-registered nurses, physiotherapists, paramedics or an occupational therapist seeking a clinically-oriented, non hands-on position with a strong emphasis on assessments, reports and compliance.

The role follows a hybrid model with homeworking and time at assessment centres. It offers structured hours, training and a clear progression path, plus a generous leave

Qualifications

• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience
• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Confidence in producing high-quality written clinical reports

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence-based written reports
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks
• Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues
• Attend the assessment centre as required
