Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in Scarborough. This is a permanent, full-time role with a hybrid working model combining home and assessment centre days.

You'll apply your clinical expertise to conduct PIP assessments, analyse evidence and write clear, compliant reports. We welcome NMC/HCPC registered nurses, physiotherapists, paramedics or occupational therapists with UK experience.

Qualifications

• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year UK clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident use of digital systems (approx. 35 WPM typing).
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information.
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence-based written reports.
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks.
• Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues.
• Attend the assessment centre as required.
