Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking Piling Rig Attendants to join our Port Talbot team and contribute to major UK infrastructure projects.

You will direct the piling rig during movements, assist with setup and maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance with lifting plans and site procedures. Training and long-term career prospects are highlighted in this directly employed role.

Qualifications

• Essential skills include a positive attitude, ability to work in a team, collaborative approach and commitment to safety.
• Willingness to learn and develop on site, with focus on quality and engagement.
• Experience in piling or construction environments is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Direct the piling rig during movements and stay visible to the operator.
• Guide rig setup, check position, levels and verticality against references.
• Set up exclusion zones and direct excavator work within zones.
• Assist with routine maintenance, refuelling and upkeep of equipment.
• Ensure lifting operations follow the approved lifting plan and site procedures.
