Job summary

Van Elle is seeking Piling Operatives for site work at Kirkby-in-Ashfield. You will join the UK's largest geotechnical and ground engineering contractor, supporting piling activities and site operations with training to develop your skills.

You’ll work with a team to ensure safe, efficient project delivery, follow method statements and risk assessments, and uphold company safety policies while adhering to site rules.

Qualifications

• CSCS card required and CPCS Slinger/Signaller minimum.
• Proven experience in construction or civil engineering with relevant safety training.
• Willingness to work unsociable hours, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team for all site activities, before, during and after piling activities.
• Liaise and take instructions from your supervisor in a professional manner.
• Support project team and supervisor in efficient delivery of the project.
• Review and understand all method statements and risk assessments relating to the project.
• Be familiar with daily/piling tasks and project specific safety rules, policies and procedures ensuring adherence to them.
• Be familiar with and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health and Safety Policy.
• Ensure that near misses, accidents, incidents and other safety concerns are promptly reported at the appropriate level.
• Complete all site records requested by company or supervisor.
• Assist with inspections of all plant, lifting equipment and recording on the appropriate forms.
• Ensure plant is adequate for the task prior to being used.
• Be respectful to all people you interact with, treating everyone equally and embracing differences
• Conduct self in a way that reflect and promotes the Van Elle company values
• Understand and act in accordance with Van Elle's policies and procedures.
