Job summary

Marks Sattin is seeking an experienced Pigment Consultant to join a major finance transformation programme in London. You will lead FP&A workstreams on the Pigment implementation, acting as the primary liaison between the Head of FP&A, finance stakeholders and the SI partner.

You will shape budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes within Pigment, challenge designs, and drive UAT, training and change activities to ensure a smooth transition to business-as-usual.

Qualifications

• Experience on Pigment implementations in FP&A.
• Budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and reporting experience.
• Experience as Product Owner, Business Lead, or Senior Analyst in planning projects.
• Proven ability to manage SI, consulting partners and vendors.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating to functional planning solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management with senior finance leaders.
• Experience delivering FP&A tech implementations (EPM/CPM).

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pigment Consultant to join a major finance transformation programme currently implementing the Pigment planning platform.

Working as the client-side FP&A lead, you will act as the key representative for the Head of FP&A and wider finance function throughout the implementation. The technical build and configuration will be delivered by a System Integration (SI) partner, whilst this role focuses on ensuring business requirements are properly defined, challenged, prioritised and translated into a solution that delivers tangible value to the organisation.

This is a highly visible stakeholder-facing role requiring a strong blend of FP&A expertise, planning transformation experience, vendor management, and business partnering skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary FP&A representative on the Pigment implementation programme.
• Serve as the key liaison between the finance function, business stakeholders and the implementation partner.
• Support the Head of FP&A in shaping planning, forecasting, budgeting and reporting processes within Pigment.
• Ensure business requirements are clearly defined, documented and prioritised.
• Challenge proposed designs to ensure alignment with finance operating model, planning requirements and strategic objectives.
• Review and validate solution designs produced by the SI partner.
• Facilitate workshops with Finance, Commercial, Operations and Executive stakeholders.
• Drive user acceptance testing (UAT), business sign-off and readiness activities.
• Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies from a business perspective.
• Support change management, training and adoption activities across the finance community.
• Ensure successful transition from implementation into business-as-usual operation.

Essential Experience

• Previous experience working on Pigment implementations in an FP&A environment.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and management reporting processes.
• Experience acting as a Product Owner, Business Lead, Workstream Lead or Senior Business Analyst within planning transformation programmes.
• Proven ability to manage and challenge System Integrators, consulting partners and external vendors.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional planning solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior finance leaders and executive stakeholders.
• Experience delivering finance transformation programmes involving EPM, CPM or FP&A technologies.

• Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent finance background.
