The PIER (Psychosis Intervention Early Recovery) team serves Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland for ages 14–65 years. As the name suggests, the team supports individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis. Psychosis can be distressing for those who experience it, as well as for those who support them. The team provides intensive support to service users and their families/carers for up to 3 years.
Senior Healthcare Assistants support registered practitioners to deliver high-quality, compassionate health care to people. The principal role is to assist the multidisciplinary team in the provision and delivery of patient care in line with an individualised care plan under close but not direct supervision of registered practitioners.
