Job summary

Veolia's Battlefield Plastics Recycling Facility in Shrewsbury is seeking a hands-on quality control operative to support plastics recycling operations. You will inspect sorting lines, remove non-conforming materials, and operate sorting machinery to maintain efficiency and safety on site.

The role requires clear communication, the ability to follow strict output targets, and adherence to PPE and safety protocols. Full-time, 37.5 hours, with rotating shifts across early, late, and night slots.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Similar operational manual handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Quality control inspection to ensure proper separation: identify and remove specified materials from designated picking lines.
• Operating sorting equipment and machinery
• Help maintain a tidy site at all times
• Meet all output specifications according to client and customer targets
• Communicate operational information to the plant shift supervisor
• Following safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE
