Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay is recruiting a Technical Instructor to join the Physiotherapy Team at Royal Lancaster Infirmary on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. The role is 18.75 hours per week, with a pro rata salary of £25,760–£27,476 per annum.

You will work alongside physiotherapists to deliver inpatient physiotherapy and rehabilitation across an acute hospital site, including ICU/Surgical areas, with opportunities for MDT involvement and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Basic numeracy and literacy qualifications (e.g. GCSE level).
• NVQ level 3 in Health Care or related subject.
• Relevant experience as a physiotherapy assistant sufficient to meet the competencies of a technical instructor.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face therapy to patients, complete documentation and general admin duties.
• Work as part of a clinical team to assist in assessment and treatment, be involved in MDT working and meetings.
• Support and training will be given to develop knowledge and skills in specific clinical areas.
