Job summary

National Star is offering a Physiotherapy Assistant position at its Ullenwood college. This fixed-term, term-time role supports students with disabilities, delivering physiotherapy interventions and assisting with treatments for young people with complex needs.

The post requires a flexible, proactive self-starter who can work within a busy multidisciplinary team and assist with clerical tasks while ensuring accurate records and reports are kept up to date.

About the role

Are you keen to build on your experience of working with people with disabilities and move towards a career in Physiotherapy? We have an exciting opportunity for internal applications for a Physiotherapy Assistant role on a fixed term contract. It will be a term-time only role (39 weeks) working 22 hours a week. The role will be based at our college in Ullenwood.

We are looking for someone with previous experience of working with people with disabilities and ideally will have some experience in supporting physiotherapy interventions You will have a flexible and adaptable attitude and be a confident and proactive self-starter.

The role will include working with young people who have complex physical and learning difficulties, with both acute and chronic presentation. As part of this diverse and interesting role you will assist students with their Physiotherapy treatments, whilst working in our state-of-the- art facilities, which are very well resourced to support the delivery of high-quality therapy, including Aquatic and Rebound Therapy.

You will also support the Physiotherapy team with clerical related duties, as well as working with the wide multidisciplinary team within National Star to ensure that our students are fully supported and all records, reports and programmes are kept up to date.
