Job summary

The Meriden Hospital in Coventry is seeking a Senior Physiotherapist to join our Physiotherapy department. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) requires flexibility in shift patterns and provides the opportunity to work across inpatient and outpatient settings.

The successful candidate will manage complex caseloads, develop individualised treatment plans, and support junior staff while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in Circle Health Group’s private network.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with current registration.
• Minimum 3 years’ post-registration experience in an outpatient setting.
• UK hospital experience is essential.
• Leadership experience is desirable.
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with complex needs in inpatient or outpatient settings.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to optimise recovery, function and independence.
• Manage a designated caseload prioritising clinical urgency and discharge planning.
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to support safe and timely patient care.

Job description

We have an opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department. This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Duties of this role include:

• Independently assess and treat patients with more complex needs across inpatient or outpatient settings.
• Develop individualised treatment plans using a variety of physiotherapy techniques to optimise recovery, function, and independence.
• Manage a designated caseload efficiently, prioritising based on clinical urgency and discharge planning needs.
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to support safe, effective, and timely patient care.
• Act as a point of contact for junior physiotherapists, therapy assistants, and students, offering guidance and informal supervision.
• Assist in the induction and training of new staff.
  HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
• Solid post-registration experience across a range of clinical areas.
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to team working and service improvement.
• Must have minimum 3 years experience in an outpatients setting.
• UK hospital experience is essential.
• Leadership experience is desirable.
