The HOSM-SAS Cluster incorporates Seaton, Axminster and Sidmouth (SAS), Honiton and Ottery St Mary (HOSM). It has an attractive mix of rural villages and coastal towns whilst only 30 minutes drive from Exeter and the market towns of Honiton and Axminster providing excellent rail links to London and Exeter. The Cluster is set in a landscape of outstanding natural beauty and part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site an ideal landscape for coastal walks, fishing harbours and beautiful beaches. We have an exciting opening for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist to join the team in an integrated rehabilitation and urgent care pathway across the community services in HOSM. You will be well supported and encouraged to continuously develop your skills related to the role. Whether you are interested in clinical or leadership development courses we can support you in finding the best way to grow. We actively encourage CPD and you will have an opportunity to spend time with our range of specialists as part of your CPD. We offer flexibility in working patterns and the chance to practice with true autonomy. You will have the opportunity to work alongside and be supported by experienced Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Rehab Nurses and Rehab Support Workers.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in community rehabilitation, multi-disciplinary working and management of patients with a wide variety of long-term conditions including complex neurological, orthopaedic, dementia and falls prevention. The emphasis is on maximising patient independence and quality of life through assessment, rehabilitation, preventing hospital admissions and supporting the discharge process from hospital. We are a friendly and dynamic team, who are always striving to provide excellent care for our patients. You will need a car and valid driving licence for this role.

Working Pattern:

37.5 hours per week. Our standard working hours for this role are 8:30 to 16:30, Monday to Friday but you will also be required to work alongside Urgent Community Response in HOSM on the Ageing Well rota, working shifts over seven days a week and between the hours of 08:00 to 20:00 on a rota basis.
