Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, skilled, and dynamic Physiotherapist with a specialist interest in community to join our enthusiastic community-based therapy team in Bideford, North Devon.

As a vital member of the multidisciplinary team, the post holder will deliver clinical leadership alongside specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and advice to patients and their carers. The post holder will work with the Therapy team lead and advanced practice Occupational Therapist to develop the service in line with patient need and trust-wide progress to provide an equitable and inclusive service across the Trust.

The post holder will work across an integrated team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and wider Multidisciplinary team.

The Rehabilitation team, consisting of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Assistant Practitioners, and Clinical Support Workers, provides a Therapy Rehabilitation service to the community of the Bideford and district locality as part of an integrated, dynamic, award-winning Health and Social Care team.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring excellence within the team through quality clinical leadership, initiating and partaking in service development, education programs, supervision, and mentorship alongside the Occupational Therapist Advanced Practitioner and the Therapy Team Lead. Integral to the role is the coordination and management of Occupational and Physiotherapy student placements and supporting further education.
