A leading medical center in Birmingham is seeking a Physician Associate to provide high-standard patient care under GP supervision. This role involves managing clinical caseloads, conducting consultations, and being a vital part of a multidisciplinary team focused on improving patient outcomes and quality of care. Ideal candidates will possess the necessary qualifications and demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills.
Job Summary
As a Physician Associate, you will act within your professional boundaries, providing patient care from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation under the supervision of a GP. You will demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and deliver expert care in consultation with the relevant GP.
Main duties of the job
Your work will aim to improve patient outcomes, reduce health inequalities, enhance the efficiency of general practice, and deliver a high-quality service.
Mentorship and supervision will be provided by designated medical personnel, with the level and type depending on your skills and knowledge, as determined by the organisation's clinical governance arrangements. You will follow annual appraisals and CPD guidelines set by the Faculty of Physician Associates (FPA).
You will be a core part of the growing MDT, providing services to registered patients.
