Job summary

New Bridge Group in Oldham is seeking an experienced Intervention Worker focused on Reading and Phonics to support primary pupils with SEMH needs, delivering targeted interventions and strengthening literacy.

You will plan and deliver high-quality interventions, assess progress, adapt programmes, and work closely with teachers and other staff to remove barriers to learning and build students' confidence and engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering phonics interventions to primary pupils
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs
• Ability to plan and deliver bespoke literacy and social development programmes

Responsibilities

• Delivering structured phonics interventions to small groups and individual pupils
• Planning and delivering bespoke interventions for pupils with SEMH needs
• Monitoring, recording and evaluating pupil progress
• Working collaboratively with teacher and other professionals to identify barriers to learning and implement effective support strategies
• Support pupils to develop confidence, resilience and positive attitudes towards learning
• Contributing to intervention plans and pupil reviews
