Job summary

Randox Health seeks a dedicated Phlebotomist for our Tunbridge Wells clinic. You will collect blood samples from private and corporate clients, enter data into the PIS, and maintain precise records. The role includes upselling, representing the company at events, and meeting sales targets.

We expect either proven phlebotomy experience or a willingness to train, with the right to work in the UK without sponsorship. Private healthcare experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Location: 77 Mount Pleasant Rd, Tunbridge Wells TN1 1PX.

Contract Offered: Full-time, permanent

Working Hours / Shifts: Alternating between Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday. Start and finish times are 7.40am to 4.20pm Monday and Saturday, 6.40am to 3.20pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 10.20am to 7pm on a Thursday.Other shifts / working patterns may be considered.

For this position, as you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage.

In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Right to Work Requirement

Please note that this role requires candidates to have the legal right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months from the application date. This is to ensure completion of our 9-month probationary period and for any potential sponsorship decisions to be considered. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship at the point of hire.

What does the Phlebotomist role involve?

This role is responsible for ensuring customers have an excellent experience from the moment they enter our clinic, taking blood samples from both private and corporate clients. This is a varied role that may also include the following responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS).


• Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent.


• Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation.


• Represent the company professionally at offsite events and appointments.


• Engage in up selling and cross-selling at our private health clinic.


• Proactively drive sales and exceed targets.


• Complete company forms, specimen labeling, and laboratory test order forms accurately.


• Demonstrate high IT literacy in order to manager various software systems and daily tasks.


• Flexibility with working hours, as required by the business inclusive of evenings and weekends.


• Flexibility to work from offsite locations at least once per month.


• Currently have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.


• Experience in a private healthcare setting.


• Previous Phlebotomy experience / certificate of competency in Phlebotomy
