Brampton Medical Practice is seeking a trained and experienced Phlebotomist to join our friendly Practice. You will perform venepuncture to collect blood samples and support high-quality primary care for our diverse, semi-rural patient population.
The role offers 15 to 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8:30 am and 6:30 pm, with some Saturday mornings on a rota. You will work under supervision and contribute to safe sample processing and recording.
This is a new role being introduced within our dedicated nursing team.
We are seeking a trained and experienced Phlebotomist to join our friendly Practice. You will support the delivery of high-quality primary care by providing safe, accurate and compassionate venepuncture services to our diverse, semi-rural patient population.
The position offers a minimum of 15 hours and up to 37.5 hours per week, working between the hours of 8:30 am and 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The specific days of work will be agreed at interview.
There will also be a requirement to cover some Saturday mornings on a team rota basis.

Working under the direct supervision of the Lead practice nurses and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols.
Blood Sample Collection :Perform venepuncture to collect blood samples from patients following clinical guidelines.
We are a patient focused semi rural training and dispensing practice serving around 16'700 patients with Two sites in Brampton, and one in Corby Hill and Wetheral.
The core responsibilities of the Phlebotomist are as follows. On occasion, there may be a requirement to carry out tasks not listed below, that are within the reasonable scope of the role.
In addition to the core responsibilities, the Phlebotomist may be requested to;
1. Partake in audit as directed by the audit lead
2. Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care
3. Support and participate in shared learning throughout the organisation
