Phlebotomist – We Train

Our ideal phlebotomist is patient, reliable, and committed to keeping our donors comfortable and happy.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
• Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction while maintaining donor confidentiality.
• Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
• Monitor donor and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality.
• Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines.
• Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment.

Occupational Demands

Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential infectious organisms. Personal protective equipment such as eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold-gear is required. The role involves sitting or standing for entire shifts, with bending, twisting, and frequent hand movements. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, perform precise movements, and follow instructions is essential. Hearing acuity, color perception, and vision are also important.
