Job description

Job Title: Band 3 Phlebotomist

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Phlebotomist to join our team. The main responsibilities include:

1. Providing a patient-friendly blood sampling service across various hospital sites, primarily at John Radcliffe Hospital.
2. Ensuring blood specimens are collected safely, with minimal discomfort, and transported promptly to laboratories.
3. Supporting outpatient, ward, and mobile services, including travel between sites as needed.
4. Maintaining high standards of patient care, confidentiality, and safety in line with Trust policies.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
• Excellent patient care skills, compassion, and good IT skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.

Additional information:

• This is a permanent, part-time role (30 hours/week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends).
• Salary: £24,625 - £25,674 pro rata per annum.
