Job summary

York St John University London Campus is seeking an Academic Associate in Business and Management to start in January 2027. The role combines doctoral study with university teaching and assessment, in a fixed-term four-year contract with a UK tuition fee waiver for the PhD.

You will contribute around six hours per week of face-to-face teaching during semesters, across seminars, workshops and tutorials. The successful candidate will join our research community and develop a PhD proposal aligned

Qualifications

• Master's degree and a 2:1 honours in a relevant field.
• Experience in teaching and research activities desirable.
• Ability to develop a PhD research project proposal.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a PhD at York St John University while employed by the University to support teaching and assessment.
• Contribute around six hours per week of face-to-face teaching during semesters.
• Assist in seminars, workshops and tutorials, including preparation, assessment and marking.
• Join the London Campus research community and undertake doctoral research aligned with Business and Management Studies.
