Job summary

Boots Group in the UK is recruiting a Trainee Dispenser to join our pharmacy team in-store. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare professionals to safely dispense prescriptions and provide patient advice while you complete your Dispenser training (NVQ2).

No prior experience is required and full training will be provided, with opportunities to develop skills and progress within Boots as you work on dispensing duties and patient care in a store environment.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2)
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• No previous experience required.
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, endorsing and collection).
• Work with healthcare professionals in-store to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist when needed.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with processes.
• Help patients manage their prescriptions and ensure adherence while reducing waste.
