Job summary
Boots UK is recruiting a Trainee Dispenser to join our in-store pharmacy team across UK locations. You will support the pharmacist, dispense prescriptions, and help deliver safe, high-quality patient care while you complete your Dispenser training (NVQ2).
No previous experience required as full training is provided. The role offers hands-on experience with medicines, SOPs, and care for patients, with clear career development paths including potential progression to Pharmacy Technician roles.
Qualifications
- Training for the Dispenser NVQ2 programme will be provided.
- Desire to learn and complete the training programme.
- Current and valid UK right to work; this role is not sponsored for a Skilled Worker Visa.
Responsibilities
- Complete training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
- Dispense prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
- Collaborate with pharmacy team to deliver pharmacy services.
- Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as needed.
- Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
- Stay updated with new store technologies and processes.
- Assist patients in managing their prescriptions and adherence.
