Job summary

Boots UK in-store Trainee Dispenser position offers hands-on training while you complete the Dispenser NVQ2. You’ll assist the pharmacist in dispensing and advising patients, learning safe supply processes and patient care within the store’s healthcare team.

The role emphasizes working in the UK with in-house training, a strong focus on patient safety, and opportunities to progress toward Pharmacy Technician certification as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship.
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
• Work with other healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Assist patients with repeats and manage medicines to promote adherence.
