Job summary

Boots UK in Pontypridd is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver patient-centred service, provide expert technical advice on medicines, and coach the pharmacy team to maintain the highest standards of care. The role includes triage support, stock management, and ensuring safe, ethical decision-making within the pharmacy.

You’ll work with a supportive team across store operations and patient care, with opportunities to develop skills and progress in Boots’ career pathways and training resources.

Qualifications

• Coaching and leading a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and products.
• Delivering services depending on store needs.
• Building relationships with the pharmacy team and coaching them to deliver high standards of care.
• Assisting with triage of patients and distributing prescription handouts.
• Taking ownership for legal, safe and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Managing operational tasks including stock replenishment, workload management, order fulfilment, receiving and handling controlled drugs while ensuring patient safety.
