This is a permanent, full-time position based at various locations throughout NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC). NHS GGC is one of the UK's largest healthcare systems, employing around 40,000 staff and providing a range of healthcare services to over 1.15 million people.
The role involves working within the North West Locality Glasgow City HSCP as a Pharmacy Technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). The successful candidate will support prescribing initiatives, manage prescriptions, and work closely with GPs and multidisciplinary teams to improve medicines management and patient care. Responsibilities include data collection, clinical record updates, medication reviews, and patient communication over the phone.
This position requires excellent communication, negotiation, organisational, and IT skills, with experience in primary care or multidisciplinary teams preferred. The role offers opportunities for career development within primary care settings, including GP practices, community pharmacies, and care homes.
