Job summary

Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the on-site Pharmacy team on a bank, part-time basis. You will monitor stock, assist with procurement, receive goods, and dispense medicines with accuracy while supporting staff and ensuring efficient operations.

Applicants should have an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills and be registered with the GPhC, with hospital or community pharmacy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills required.
• Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Experience in hospital or community pharmacy settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels in the Pharmacy department.
• Assist with procurement of pharmaceutical stock using electronic systems.
• Receive goods, check against orders, and resolve issues.
• Dispense medicines accurately, assemble, label and process them.
• Provide day-to-day support and guidance to Pharmacy staff.
• Coordinate activities to support efficient pharmacy operations.

Pharmacy Technician

Guildford Hospital | Pharmacy | Bank | Part Time |

Up to £23 per hour depending on experience

You’ll join our Pharmacy team as a technician, bringing relevant experience and a NVQLevel 3 Diploma in Pharmacy services skills where you’ll become part of a knowledgeable team and support the efficient running of the service.

As aPharmacyTechnician,you will:

• To monitor stock levels within the Pharmacy department to maintain appropriate stock levels
• To assist with the procurement of pharmaceutical stock for the pharmacy and other departments using appropriate electronic systems
• To receive goods in appropriately checking against purchase orders/delivery notes, dealing with issues/anomalies as they arise and escalating appropriately
• To carry out dispensing of medicines accurately selecting the correct quantity of medicine required and assembling, labelling and processing them in a safe, efficient and timely manner
• To provide day to day support and guidance to Pharmacy staff as appropriate
• To effectively co-ordinate and undertake activities to support the efficient working of the pharmacy service£

To succeed as a Pharmacy Technician, you will:

• NVQLevel 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills
• Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
• Experience either within a hospital or community pharmacy.
• SACT Passport beneficial
• Good IT Skills
• Good literacy and numeracy
• Good communication skills
