Job summary

I & F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) in Barnsley is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role offers training to become a registered Pharmacy Technician and to progress within pharmacy.

The apprenticeship provides Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Training (Integrated) and potential for full-time employment after successful completion. You will gain hands-on experience while studying via a blended learning approach.

Qualifications

• GCSEs A-C in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• If Maths and English Level 2 are not held, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
• Providing person-centered advice to patients on prescription and over-the-counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role
• Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback
