Job summary

Skills4 Pharmacy is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team in the United Kingdom. This role is ideal for someone progressing after completion of their level 2 Pharmacy Dispensing, and will develop the skills to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

You will undertake Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship with blended learning, supporting pharmacists and the wider healthcare team, with potential for full-time employment on completion.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C (4-9) in Maths and English desired but not essential
• If Maths/English Level 2 is missing, tests determine course suitability

Responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines safely and accurately
• Providing patient advice on prescriptions and OTC medicines
• Supporting day-to-day pharmacy operations including stock control
• Assisting training and mentoring new staff as you progress
• Maintaining high auditing standards and service quality
• Collaborating with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team

Brief Description

We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress after completion of their level 2 Pharmacy Dispensing. This will role will allow you to develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Skills Required

About the role:

As a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will support the safe, effective and lawful supply of medicines while working closely with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team. We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately


• Providing person‑centred advice to patients on prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate


• Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance


• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role


• Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff


• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback

Apprenticeship & qualification:

Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A‑level)

On successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)

Training delivered through a blended learning approach alongside your job
