Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role supports safe, effective and lawful medicines supply while training with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team.

The apprenticeship provides Level 3 Pharmacy Technician training and a clear path to GPhC registration following successful completion, with blended learning delivered alongside practical duties.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (A-C/4-9) in Maths and English; course can provide Math/English tests if needed.
• Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent may be required; training offered with course.

Responsibilities

• Manage, order, receive and supply medicines safely and accurately.
• Provide patient advice on prescriptions and OTC medicines; refer to clinicians when needed.
• Support day-to-day running: stock control and clinical governance.
• Supervise and support pharmacy staff as you progress in the role.
• Assist with training and mentoring new staff.
• Maintain high standards through audits and feedback.

About the role:

As a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will support the safe, effective and lawful supply of medicines while working closely with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team. We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately


• Providing person‑centred advice to patients on prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate


• Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance


• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role


• Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff


• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback

Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A‑level)

On successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)

Training delivered through a blended learning approach alongside your job

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
