Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is offering a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice role within a busy community pharmacy team in the United Kingdom. You will support safe, effective and lawful medicines supply while working closely with pharmacists and the healthcare team, with progression towards a registered Pharmacy Technician.

The apprenticeship provides Level 3 Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) training, blended learning and on-the-job experience, and potential for full-time employment after completion.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English (A–C / 4–9) desired, with course support available.
• For applicants without Maths/English Level 2, initial tests may determine suitability.
• Enrolment in Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship and registration process.

Responsibilities

• Support safe, effective supply of medicines under supervision.
• Assist with ordering, receiving and stock control.
• Provide patient advice on prescriptions and OTC medicines.
• Support day-to-day running of the pharmacy and governance.
• Assist training and mentoring new staff as you progress.
• Participate in audits and service improvements.
• Progress toward GPhC registration on completion.

About the role:

As a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will support the safe, effective and lawful supply of medicines while working closely with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team. We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately

Providing person‑centred advice to patients on prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate

Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance

Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role

Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff

Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback

Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A‑level)

On successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)

Training delivered through a blended learning approach alongside your job

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
