Job summary

Skills4 Pharmacy in Brighton is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role offers a path to become a registered Pharmacy Technician through the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship.

You will support safe, effective supply of medicines, assist pharmacists and the healthcare team, and gain hands-on experience while studying. The apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with blended learning and may lead to full-time employment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
• Providing person-centred advice to patients on prescription and over-the-counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role
• Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback
