Job summary

Intelligent Prescribing Solutions Ltd is recruiting a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our GP practice team. You will work alongside our practice pharmacists and technicians to ensure safe, effective medicines management within primary care.

This role offers development through medication reconciliation, repeat dispensing, shortages and recall processes within a small, forward-thinking team.

Qualifications

• BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in pharmaceutical science and GPC registration.
• Experience with GP practice prescribing systems.
• Excellent communication and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Medication reconciliation of clinical letters and hospital discharges.
• Support the repeat dispensing process.
• Manage medication shortages and recalls.
• Conduct in-house audits re CQC/QOF/Medicines Optimisation.
• Support shared care and act as a link to community and secondary care.

Intelligent Prescribing Solutions Ltd are looking to recruit a full-time Pharmacy Technician. We are a supportive and forward thinking small organisation managed by a team of pharmacists and technicians. As a pharmacy technician, you will be a key part of our team working alongside our practice pharmacists with in a GP practice.

Main duties of the job

The right candidate must be able to communicate effectively with the pharmacy team, wider healthcare team, patients and the public, whilst ensuring and maintaining confidentiality and privacy.

As a pharmacy technician you will need to be:

• Accurate and methodical
• Team player
• Understanding of relevant local guidelines
• Have excellent communication skills
• Familiar with GP practice prescribing systems

Job responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and self driven pharmacy technician to join our small pharmacy team. This is a role that continues to develop and expand and an opportunity for you to shape the role of the technician.

Job Duties include:

Qualifications

• - BTEC / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical science
• - Registration with the GPC
• - Registered on, or completion of the CPPE primary care pathway

• Experience of working within a GP practice
