Job summary

Intelligent Prescribing Solutions Ltd is recruiting a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join a small, pharmacist- and technician-led team within a GP practice. You will play a key role in supporting practice pharmacists and maintaining high standards of patient safety and confidentiality.

This role involves medication reconciliation, repeat dispensing support, handling shortages and recalls, and contributing to in-house audits and medicines optimisation schemes.

Qualifications

• Essential: BTEC / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical science.
• Registration with the GPC.
• Registered on, or completion of the CPPE primary care pathway.
• Experience of working within a GP practice.

Responsibilities

• Medication reconciliation of clinical letters and hospital discharges.
• Supporting the repeat dispensing process
• Medication shortages
• Medication recall processes
• In house audits re CQC/QOF/Medicines Optimisation Schemes
• Supporting shared care
• Providing a link for various stakeholders including community pharmacies and secondary care

Job summary Intelligent Prescribing Solutions Ltd are looking to recruit a full time Pharmacy Technician. We are a supportive and forward thinking small organisation managed by a team of pharmacists and technicians. As a pharmacy technician, you will be a key part of our team working alongside our practice pharmacists with in a GP practice.

Main duties of the job The right candidate must be able to communicate effectively with the pharmacy team, wider healthcare team, patients and the public, whilst ensuring and maintaining confidentiality and privacy.

As a pharmacy technician you will need to be:

• Accurate and methodical
• Team player
• Understanding of relevant local guidelines
• Have excellent communication skills
• Familiar with GP practice prescribing systems
