Role Requirements - Essentials

• Must have a pharmacy technician qualification (NVQ level 3 equivalent)
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council

Role Responsibilities

• Support PCN clinical pharmacists in delivering clinical pharmacy services, including processing discharge and clinic letters from secondary care
• Perform medicines improvement work to ensure safe, cost-effective prescribing practices under supervision
• Assist with medication safety monitoring systems (e.g., high-risk drugs)
• Liaise with clinicians and administrative staff to resolve medicine-related queries
• Monitor prescribing practices and adherence to policies and guidelines
• Enhance service quality through audits
• Support clinical pharmacists in Structured Medication Reviews
• Have a good understanding of PCN Pharmacy Technician work
• Prior experience working as a PCN or Practice Pharmacy Technician focused on clinical care is preferred

Successful candidates will be enrolled in the fully funded CPPE primary care pathway for PCN Pharmacy Technician roles.
