Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking a Pharmacy Support Worker to join the MH&LD Pharmacy Team at New Craigs Hospital, Inverness. The role is 30 hours per week on a permanent basis, with band 2 salary (£26,696 - £28,988).

Training to SVQ/NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services will be supported, and you must meet induction standards for Health Care Support Workers in Scotland. Applicants should be able to work accurately in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• SVQ/NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services will be supported to complete
• Mandatory induction standards for Health Care Support Workers in Scotland to be met
• Previous pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
• Ability to work carefully, accurately and efficiently in a busy environment

Responsibilities

• Assist with dispensing and supply of medicines under supervision and according to procedures
• Maintain ward and department stock levels and manage stock replenishment and control
• Process medicine orders and returns to ensure accurate and timely delivery
• Handle telephone and reception enquiries and provide administrative support as required
