Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to join the Distribution team at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. You will support medicines stock management and help provide medicines and vaccines supplies across NHS Highland, working within a structured training program to meet General Pharmaceutical Council requirements.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a Band 2 salary and 36 hours per week, with opportunities for flexible working and development within the Pharmacy Department.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, with strong interpersonal and organisational abilities, good communication skills and a strong team work ethic.
• Good written communication skills, hard working, with good attention to detail.
• Flexible in approach and committed to completing the training programme.
• Achieved, or at interview time, working towards, 3 National 4 qualifications including English, Maths and a Science subject as a minimum.
• Achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support workers in Scotland and comply with the code of conduct throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Support medicines stock management within wards and departments in Raigmore.
• Provide medicines & vaccines supply service to other destinations across NHS Highland.
