Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a proactive individual to join the Pharmacy team at County Hospital, overseeing Stores and Distribution.

You will support supply of medicines, liaising with wards, departments and external customers, ensuring timely orders and delivery. Strong IT, problem solving and communication skills are essential, with ability to work unsupervised to deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working in a pharmacy environment
• Desirable: ward based automated/pharmacy automated machines
• Desirable: experience in warehouse/stores environment
• Co-ordinating people and workflow
• Experience of evaluating and translating information from a variety of sources
• Experience of communicating with patients and hospital staff over the phone
• Problem solving
• Good organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee work in the Stores and Distribution area.
• Support the supply of medicines by liaising with wards, departments and external customers.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to support timely supply of medicines and processing of orders.
• Provide leadership within the Pharmacy team and co-ordinate training of staff.
• Coordinate and support the training of staff and resolve queries with clinical teams, ward staff and external customers.
