Job summary

Skills4Group in Newcastle is recruiting a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will support day-to-day running, help customers at the medicines counter and work toward a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided. No prior pharmacy experience required as training is provided.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, desired but not essential.
• If Maths/English Level 2 is missing, complete initial tests to determine suitability.
• Training will be provided as part of the apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
