Job summary

skills4group in Watford is offering a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice position to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will earn while you learn and work towards a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

The role involves assisting customers, handling prescriptions and stock, with full training provided. No prior pharmacy experience is required, and the program runs for about 15 months.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent; desirable but not essential as provided with the course.
• Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship training provided alongside the role.

Responsibilities

• Support customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.
